Match Report

A great win for Trim Celtic Greens as they beat Torro Utd in the League in a very entertaining game.
Goal for Trim Celtic Greens. In the 7th minute. Henrique Magno picked up the ball after a great through-ball from Kris Gorman and hit a crisp strike straight into the back of the net. Celtic had 2 further goals disallowed for offside as both Conor Fay and David Boyle finishes were ruled out.
Torro Utd equalized within 10 mins of the restart by capitalising on a well worked opening, they took full advantage with a superbly taken goal. However, Celtic retained the lead on the hour mark after Conor Fay who was eventually brought down inside the box. There was no chance of the keeper saving it as the resulting penalty was excellently taken by David Boyle. Some excellent work from Conor as he played with an injury to help an already very depleted squad.
On 65 mins, Torro centerback sent a long ball down the line to the right winger, his first time cross was met superbly on the volley by the centerforward as the ball rifled into the far bottom corner to give the excellent Glenn Prendergast no chance to level the game at 2-2.
After some sustained pressure from the champions, an in swinging corner from James Molloy deceived everyone and somehow found the corner of the net as celtic regained the lead. In the 75th minute Kris Gorman sealed the win with a commanding run from midfield, his strike beat the onrushing keeper to take all 3 points with a 2-4 win.
Some excellent performances from Sam Lynch, David Boyle, and Henrique Magno.
