Match Report

Trim Celtic needed all their patience and determination to come away with all three points courtesy of a stoppage time winner against Robinstown. Despite creating a lot a chances in the first half Celtic couldn’t beat the in-form Robinstown keeper.
The second half was more of the same but it was Robinstown who took the lead from the penalty spot after 70 mins when their striker was taken down in the box. Trim picked themselves up and created more chances but still couldn’t get that goal that they deserved for all their great play. Eventually with five mins remaining Daryll Kelly made a brilliant run down the left and picked out Scott O’Leary who headed home from 6 yards. The hoops weren’t finished and pressed Robinstown back in search of the winner which came deep into stoppage time. A poor defensive clearance was headed back into the box by Dan Mac Grianna and O’Leary headed over the helpless Robinstown keeper.
Trim were fantastic on the night and once again the substitutions made the difference proving just how good this squad of players are.
Best for Trim Celtic were Anthony Craig, Niall Farrell and Scott O’Leary.
