Match Report
Trim started brightly zipping the ball around and causing plenty of problems for the Robinstown defence and it wasn’t long before they broke the deadlock with a brilliant move down the left hand side finished off by Daryll Kelly. Dominic Fagan got in behind minutes after the restart and was taken down for a penalty which was drilled down the middle by Lee Dixon.
Celtic dominated most of the 2nd half until Robinstown got in behind the Trim defence forcing a good double save from Westphal but the Robinstown striker blasted in the rebound to the roof of the net. Trim didn’t panic and went straight up the field from tip off and scored again to make it 3-1 with a brilliant finish from Dixon lobbing the helpless keeper. A very impressive Celtic comfortably saw out the rest of the game. Trim now go on the the semi finals of the O’Neill Shield.
