Match Report
Trim Celtic's Reserves rounded off their league campaign with a solid win against visitors Kentstown Rovers. Niall Farrell opened the scoring harassing the Kentstown midfield into an error before finishing a blasting home a trademark slalom run. Kevin Nally doubled Celtic's lead stealing home at the back post to finish Conor Daly's cross after good play from Stephen Hannan. It wasn't all one way traffic with Ryan Andrews forced into a couple of decent saves. Celtic's third goal was a neat finish by Hannan after good pressure from striker Jack Kelly.
Rovers started the second half brightly and forced a number off free-kicks making one pay with a goal from a header at the back post. At this stage Celtic were struggling to get going and they needed a fine save from Andrews to preserve their two-goal lead before a Kentstown striker was out through only to shoot directly at the keeper. As the half went on the Hoops settled and began to impose themselves on the opposition again but the scoring was done for the day and fur the league season in which Trim Celtic finished as runners-up to Rock Celtic.
