Match Report

Trim Celtic White went to Watters Lane this morning to take on Parkvilla in this Premier Division clash. After a reasonable start to the season Trim expected a serious examination from Parkvilla and that is what they got. The game hadn't settled when Trim scored on 2 minutes through Cealain Geraghty after good work by Aidan Scott and Cormac Conroy. Immediately Parkvilla settled into their stride and from there to the end of the half they dominated possession scoring goals. They scored a well worked goal on 12 minutes to equalise. On 20 minutes a slightly lucky goal gave them the lead. Poor defending by Trim allowed further goals on 25 and 30 minutes. Trim had a severe taste of life in the Premier Division in that first half and at 4-1 had a mountain to climb in the second half. But Trim's second half performance was infinitely better than that of the first. Trim were far more determined after the break and restricted their opponents to only a few chances. Trim had a fair number of shots on goal and might have snatched a second. But with 5 minutes left Trim conceded a penalty which was converted to leave the final score 5-1. Parkvilla look a strong and skillful outfit and were convincing winners. Trim will have learned alot from today's game and will be the better for it. They can take positives from a determined and solid second half performance. Best for Trim were Adam Boylan, Henri Devine, Aidan Scott, Dylan Smith, Cormac Conroy and Cealain Geraghty. Trim Celtic: Sean Halton, Henri Devine, Oisin Gallagher, Sam Lynch, Adam Boylan, Shaun Mulryan, Donal McGale, Aidan Scott, Cormac Conroy, Dylan Smith, Cealain Geraghty, Shane Bryan, Kacper Jagodzinski, Finn O'Connor, Nathan McCormack, Jamie Crowley
