Match Report

Trim's away trip to Kingscourt produced the same scoreline as the reverse fixture 3 weeks ago. The all weather surface normally allows good football to be played but the quick pressing from both teams meant little time for anyone to settle on the ball. So a scrappy but even contest developed with few clear chances for either side. Kingscourt made the better start and did most of the pressing for the first quarter. After 17 minutes Kingscourt broke down the right and the right winger hammered the ball across towards the Trim goal giving Donal McGale no chance as it flew into the far corner of the net. Trim didn't deserve to be behind and immediately set about getting the equaliser. For the remainder of the half they were on top with Kingscourt mustering just two efforts on target from free kicks which were capably dealt with by Donal McGale. Just before the break Dylan Smith won possession down the right and played a perfect pass to Adrian Bisczc who went past a defender and from close to the corner flag blasted a cross which the Kingscourt keeper couldn't hold. Tyreece Tango was on hand to pounce on the ball and finish it to the net.
The second half produced no further scores and very few clear chances. Late in the game the players had to contend with rain and hail showers but Trim's defence as a unit was solid throughout and managed any threat well. At the other end Kingscourt's centre back and keeper played very well to keep Trim at bay. Trim's starting eleven did well and both Robert Gunning and Jack Fagan contributed well when introduced in the second half.
Trim Celtic squad: Donal McGale, Finn O'Connor, Sam Lynch, Oisin Gallagher, Sean McPhillips, Kacper Jagodzinski, Tyreece Tango, Dylan Smith, Jack Fagan, Robert Gunning, Aidan Scott, Adrian Biszcs
