Match Report

Trim Celtic’s second string travelled to the MDL Grounds on Thursday night to olay their either league game of the season coming away with their seventh win by 4 goals to 1.a Celtic’s early pressure paid off with great work from Dominic Fagan down the left flank who had a shot saved and Anthony Craig put away the rebound with a lob over the stranded keeper. Craig added another one latching on to a through ball from Daniel Mac Grianna to make it 2-0 at the break.
Kilmessan grew more into the game as the second half went on but the Trim side put the game to bed with another surging run from Fagan to set up Dixon for a tap in at the far post. Another bit of clever play saw Scott O’Leary chip a free kick to young sub Dean Rowlands who finished to the net for the fourth goal. Trim keeper Robert Westphal denied Kilmessan in a one on one with a point blank save but the hosts got in at the end for a consolation goal to end the game 4-1.
Best for Trim Celtic were Dominic Fagan, Scott O’Leary and Daryll Kelly
