Trim Celtic were made to work hard for their 3 points but they maintained their 100% record for the season away to Kentstown. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half didn’t really suit Celtic as they struggled to get the ball down. Scott O’Leary flashed a shot across the goal while Colin Stowe glanced a header wide. However, they deservedly took the lead after a fine move when Paul Munnelly raided down the left wing and crossed to Anthony Craig who had to stretch to divert the ball home from 6 yards. In the dying minutes of the half Kentstown were awarded a free kick in the edge of the box which was brilliantly despatched to the net to draw the sides level.<br> After a few stern words as halftime and with the wind in their faces the Trim boys improved, retaining possession a lot better without creating any clear cut chances. That was until, following another fine move down the left, the ball fell to the feet of Scott O’Leary in the overcrowded box and he finished coolly finding the bottom corner when others would have panicked. Substitute Dominic Fagan made an immediate impact as he unselfishly slid the ball back for Lee Dixon to double Celtic’s lead. Kentstown rallied and Aaron Ryan’s handling had to be spot in as he saved to his left before he acrobatically tipped a goalbound cross over the bar as Celtic ran down the clock to win another precious three points in their quest for the title.
