Ardee Celtic came away from Tully Park with a share of the spoils but could have caused an upset only for Derek Donohoe’s late equalizer. The Deesiders took the lead when Celtic keeper Darren McGarry saw his clearance cannon off an Ardee play and into the net. Celtic has chances with Lar Ivers and Paul Munnelly coming close. The Hoops also had a goal chalked off for offside. The halftime introduction of Derek Donohoe and Dean Courtney gave Celtic an added impetus and it was these two players who forged the leveler as Donohoe powerfully headed home Courtney’s freekick with five minutes to go. It was a landmark goal for the striker as it ensured he has reached the 150 first team goal mark.
