Trim Celtic took a valuable 3 points home from Lordship as they continue their push for the Premier Division title. With Newfoundwell winning one of their many games in hand Celtic knew a win was vital and got off to a great start when Jack Murray glanced home Brian Faulkner’s corner at the near post on 15 minutes. The scoreline was doubled in the half hour with a super finish from Derek Donohoe. On the stroke of halftime Brian Faulkner made it 3-0 with his 20th of the season. Bellurgan needed a goal early in the second half and that’s exactly what they got although their comeback hopes were dented when reduced to ten men. The hosts pulled a second goal back with three minutes remaining but Celtic saw out the remaining time for the win.
