Match Report
Celtic's reserves travelled up to Ardee for the sem-final of the Reserve Cup and started brightly with Mark Corrigan and Anthony Craig dominating the centre of the park while Lee Dixon was having a great game flying up and down the left flank. Craig came close on 25minutes with an effort from the edge of the box that just went wide, Aaron Winters was putting in a great shift up top.
The second half started like the first ended with Celtic on top, but 10 minutes in Dimmy Higgins picked up a second yellow card Arden scoring shortly after that. With 30 minutes left Celtic pushed on to try to get back into the game but Ardee are a good side and spread the ball around which made it difficult for Trim to make any head way. Lee Dixon had a goal ruled out for offside and even with the 10 men Celtic had Ardee back but couldn't get on the score board.
Best for Trim Celtic were Anthony Craig, Aaron Winters, Mark Corrigan and Paul Bartley.
