The only 100% record left in the NEFL Premier Division ended as Derek Donohoe's 53rd minute strike saw Trim Celtic edge past their hosts Ardee Celtic. In a first half in which the Trim side shaded with Ardee soaking up the pressure well clear cut chances were few and far between. The winning goal came from a corner kick as Donohoe managed to wriggle himself free at the back post before finding the time and space to control the ball and fire it into the roof of the net. The hosts responded and forced a superb save from Trim keeper Danny Connell who tipped over. At the other end a fine save by the home keeper prevented the Hoops from doubling their lead but in the end it was all they needed to bring the 3 points back to Trim.
