The Reserves ended their season in disappointing fashion with defeat in the Gerry Reilly Cup 1/4 Final to Kingscourt Harps, a team they had beaten home and away in the league. Celtic started well with James Hyland hitting the side netting and Marky Corrigan shooting just wide from distance. Midway through the half the deadlock was broken when David Conway headed home Johnny Corrigan's free kick. This stirred Kingscourt into action and they hit the post with their next attack before levelling the score with a fine move down their left wing. Chances were limited to set pieces in the second half and it was from a half cleared free kick that the Harps scored the decisive winner. Tommy Farrell forced a superb save from the keeper and Celtic had two valid penalty claims for handball in the dying minutes but it wasn't to be their day.
