Trim Celtic continued their winning start to the season beating Parkceltic Summerhill in the Under 17 Premier Division. This local derby started off as quite a closely fought contest until a moment of magic in the 22nd minute from stand in striker Mikey Cullen. Cullen flicked the ball round the corner from a quick throw on the halfway line, left the defender behind, raced into the box and slotted a sweet right foot strike under the keeper to put Trim in the lead. The second goal came from another throw this time stand in midfielder Jack Cummins put the ball past the keepers left to make it in the 35th minute.
Trim Celtic continued to set the pace with the third goal coming in the 60th minute, a bullet header from Scott O’Leary. After some tactical changes three subs got on the score sheet. Matheus Costa on 70 minutes with the goal of the game cutting in from the left and shooting to the far top corner, Conor Higgins on 78 minutes and Danny Morris on 85 minutes with the home side pulling a goal back near the end.
Best for Trim Celtic were Cormac Hunt, Gerard Dwane and Ruairi Shortt.
