Match Report

Trim Celtic showed great fighting qualities to recover from the concession of two early goals to share the points with physically strong Parkceltic side. Right from the off Celtic were on the backfoot and it was no surprise when Parkceltic took the lead with a thunderous strike which gave Luke Doyle in the Celtic goal no chance. The Summerhill side then doubled their lead before Celtic clawed their way back into the game. A great run by Evan deCourcey Tobin was brought to a shuddering halt in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the spot. James Murray made no mistake with the penalty and Celtic were back in the game. The second half started much brighter for Celtic and some good interchanges between Andrew Gibney and deCourcey Tobin put the latter through on goal and he gave the 'keeper no chance with a high shot into the top corner. From there on there looked to be only one winner but Celtic couldn't make their dominance count despite some good work from substitutes Kevin McGowan and Fionn McEvoy.
Trim Celtic: Luke Doyle, Conor McGinley, Mark Cunningham, Oran Kirby, Eoghan Lenehan, Eoin Gaffney, Liam Reilly, Evan deCourcey Tobin, James Murray, Andreas Lopez, Andrew Gibney Subs: Adam Wilson (for Lenehan), Fionn McEvoy (for McGinley), Jack Vaughan (for Cunningham), Kevin McGowan (for Reilly)
