Trim Celtic atoned for a heavy defeat to Duleek earlier in the season with a fine team performance at Tully Park. Full back Paul Munnelly bagged himself a brace with Mark Leavy and Eoin O'Connor goals in addition to an O.G. Completing the scoring. A near perfect day which saw the return to action of Paul Campbell, who has been out of regular action for two years through injury, was tempered slightly with the loss of Brian Faulkner to injury.
