Trim Celtic maintained their unbeaten run in the league this season with a win against local rivals Robinstown. With another 3 points on the board Celtic are in a great position at the half way point of the season with 8 league games played and only 2 points dropped. Trim were made to work very hard during the first half by a well organised Robinstown and were quite fortuitous to be awarded a penality in the 42 minute. Scott O'Leary stepped up and smashed the spot kick down the centre of the goal giving the keeper no chance.
Celtic introduced Nathan Costello in the second half, a move which helped put them in the ascendancy with the substitute helping himself to a hat trick scoring on 55,78,88 minutes to bring his tally to 11 league goals. Best for Trim Celtic were Jack Murray, Aran Condren and hat-trick hero Costello. Next up for Trim Celtic is an away tie in the LFA Youth Cup to Kildare Town where a last 16 spot awaits the winners.
Trim Celtic: Nathan Sheridan, Shane Gartland, Charlie Ennis, Mark Foy, Cormac Hunt, Jack Murray, Jordan Bennett, Scott O'Leary, Connor Higgins, Lee Corcoran, Aran Condren.
