Match Report

Trim Celtic finally got back to league action after a two month break and showed no sign of rustiness as they took the game to last year's runners up from the kick-off. Some great defending by Mark Cunningham and Adam Wilson kept Enfield chances to a minimum and some tireless running and tackling from Liam Reilly and James Murray gave the Enfield players little time for composure on the ball. With some great passing and movement from both sides it was end to end stuff and Celtic were well worth their half time lead when Andreas Lopez chipped a great pass into the path of James Murray who finished low into the bottom left hand corner. The second half started with much the same pattern and following a corner, Enfield capitalised on a defensive error to equalise on 40 minutes. There followed a disastrous ten minute spell for the home side as they pushed forward to regain the lead, leaving some gaps at the back and they were duly punished by some great finishing from Enfield who scored three more times without reply. The result leaves Celtic with a lot to do if they are to challenge for the title but they still have plenty of games in hand to reduce the gap on the leading teams. Best for Celtic were Liam Reilly, James Murray and Mark Cunningham.
