Match Report
Trim Celtic's Reserves produced a superb all-round performance to do the league double over Kingscourt Harps. The home side had a dream start with Tommy Farrell curling home a free kick after just six minutes. Celtic almost doubled their lead five minutes later but for a superb save by the Kingscourt keeper from a long range Niall Farrell effort. The keeper had to be at his best to deny both Farrells later in the half when he palmed away an acrobatic overhead attempt from Tommy and another snapshot from Niall. There was nothing he could do to stop Tommy Farrell in the 35th minute when he headed in Aaron Newman's pinpoint cross.
Kingscourt's rallying halftime team talk was rendered obsolete just 7 seconds after the restart when Tommy Farrell completed his hat-trick. Celtic were comfortable from here on in but sprang to life in the last ten minutes with two goals. Niall Farrell capped a superb performance in midfield by slotting home James Hyland's low cross. Aaron Newman wrapped up the scoring curling home from the corner of the box.
