Trim Celtic U17 vs St. Kevins Boys

Score: 1 - 12

Match Report

Dublin side st Kevin's boys took full control of this fixture from the first to final whistle. Two minutes into the match Kevin's scored with their first attack. Celtic forward Nathan Costello levelled with a well taken goal from a defence splitting pass by Scott O'Leary ten minutes in. This was the only highlight of the first half for the Trim side and it only proved a catalyst for Kevin's to up a gear and go in 6-1 at half-time. The second half proved to be very similar to the first with Kevin's hitting another 6. Trim struggled to create any chances and found it difficult to deal with the quality in all areas of the pitch that St. Kevin's possessed. On a positive note Nathan Sheridan made a string of excellent saves in the second half. All in all it was a very good achievement to reach the last 16 of this competition and play a team packed with Irish international players. Next up for this team an equally tough assignment at home to Longford Town in the LFA Youth Cup. Trim Celtic: Nathan Sheridan, Charlie Ennis, Peter Farrell, Ruari Shortt, Cormac Hunt, Mark Foy, Jordan Bennett, Scott O'Leary, Danny Morris, Nathan Costello, Jack Cottrell Subs: Connor Higgins (for Cottrell, 45), Lee Corcoran (for O'Leary, 70), Matt Costa (for Morris, 75)
