Match Report
In an evenly contested top of the table clash Navan Cosmos took all three points home from the MDL Grounds. The game presented few chances with a long range effort from Newman and a lob from Donohoe hitting the target without really troubling the keeper while Cosmos had similar efforts that kept O'Callaghan on his toes but didn't test the Trim netminder.
Cosmos drew first blood with former Celt Lar Ivers heading home from a corner. Minutes later another free header from a corner was wasted by Cosmos. Celtic equalised with a neat turn and finish from the edge of the box by Anthony Craig. The same player almost gave Celtic the lead from an Aaron Newman cross.
Looking comfortable Celtic gifted Cosmos the lead when Conor Walsh latched onto a poor defensive pass to score what ultimately was the winner. There was a chance for Celtic to eilish when a Goggins cross fell to Donohoe whose attempted lob drifted just over with the keeper scrambling.
