In an entertaining game Trim Celtic fought from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 before being foiled in the dying minutes. The home side started brightly and raced into a two goal lead before Trim Celtic started playing. They were given a lifeline when Tommy Farrell was pushed in the box. The striker stepped up to the spot himself but saw his kick rebound back off the post. This didn't deter Celtic or Farrell who made amends by superbly curling home a free kick shortly before the break. Celtic started the second half brightly and scored a deserved equaliser when Rob Sweeney slotted home Farrell's through ball. A remarkable turnaround was complete when David Conway poked home his side's third goal to take the lead for the first time. The home side pushed more men forward and had Celtic under pressure for a long spell but only forcing Trim keeper Rob Westphal into one save of note, superbly tipping a drive from distance over the bar. With injury time looming Muihevna Mór won a free kick on the edge of the Celtic box. The effort came back off the post and with the Celtic defence static fell to a Muirhevna Mór player who made no mistake to earn his side a deserved point.
