Match Report

This was a cracking game to watch and it would have been fair to say it could have gone either way. Early in the game Trim conceded a penalty which Summerhill converted. It was taking a while for the Trim boys to settle but they did and Cathal Diedricks scored a fine goal. The momentum was now with Trim a fine attack yielded a penalty as Dylan Doonan was hacked down in the box. Evan McCormack stepped up to take it and stroked the ball just wide of the post. Trim were playing football out from the back but were unfortunately caught out and the visitors scored three quick goals.
Trim came out fighting in the second half and mounted a comeback. A fine Evan McCormack hattrick and a Summerhil goal in between left the score hanging at 5-4 going into the last 10 minutes. Trim had chances to score but Summerhill hung in there and scored another goal to wrap things up.
