Celtic’s 15 Premier side grabbed all 3 points in their first home league game with a convincing 8-0 win over newly promoted Newtown FC. David Boyle opened the scoring on 15 minutes with an excellent header after a super cross from Conor O’Hare on the right. Boyle then made it 2 in 2 minutes with his second header at the back post following some excellent work by Kris Gorman. 10 minutes later Boyle completed his hat trick after Jared Abigbesote caused some panic in the box and Boyle tapped in for his third. Wes Gibbons added a fourth on the stroke of half time with a fabulous 20 yard strike into the top corner. The second half started in the same way with another excellent long range strike from Sean Tully who made it 5-0. Aaron Mc Cormack replaced Boyle and it wasn’t long before he made an impact by setting up Conor O’Hare who found the right bottom corner. 10 minutes later, the excellent Gorman was taken down in the box. Joey Cole finished the penalty in style to make it 7-0. The final few minutes saw James Molloy with another superb finish to bring his tally to 3 in the last 3 games.
