Match Report

A magnificent performance from all involved in the green and white saw Celtic put a dent in Navan Cosmos' title credentials as a late, late equaliser from Evan de Courcey Tobin gave the hoops a well deserved point. Visibly improved from their earlier encounter which saw the Navan side run out 4-0 winners, Celtic passed the ball brilliantly throughout and were unlucky not to be ahead at the break with Daniel Coleman coming close to breaking the deadlock. Midway through the second half Cosmos took the lead but it only served to spur on the hoops as they fought feverishly for every ball and had their opponents rattled. Two minutes into injury time Celtic forced a corner and an excellent delivery by James Murray was turned home by deCourcey Tobin to the delight of everyone on the Celtic sideline. This was no more than Celtic deserved and the referee didn't even re-start the game giving the Trim side the fourth draw of the season. Best for Celtic were Oran Kirby, Eoin Gaffney and Daniel Coleman. Trim Celtic: Kevin Dalton, Eoin Gaffney, Eoghan Lenehan, Adam Wilson, Andrew Gibney, Oran Kirby, Daniel Coleman, Evan deCourcey Tobin, Liam Reilly, James Murray, Conor McGinley Subs: Cian Russell (for McGinley),Fionn McEvoy (for Lenehan), Jack Vaughan, Luke Doyle, Kevin McGowan
