Match Report

Celtic were looking to get over the heartbreak of their cup exit as they welcomed Kells to Tully Park. Once again missed early chances were to be Celtic's downfall as Kells took the lead against the run of play and finished off the half 2-0 up courtesy of a late penalty. Celtic came out stronger in the second half and reduced the deficit within five minutes with a penalty of their own which was well placed high into the net by Andrew Gibney. Halfway through the second half however Kells got the clinching goal to put them 3-1 and despite a late contender for goal of the season by Evan deCourcey Tobin the hoops were to crash to another disappointment.
