Match Report

After their recent brilliant form Trim Celtic needed to be at their best when they faced a Johnstown team who were the only team to have beaten them this season. The game got off to an excellent start for Trim when they were awarded a penalty after a Johnstown player handled in the box within the first five minutes. Justin Barbu dispatched the spot kick to give Celtic the lead which was soon doubled when Cael Roe finished nicely after some good work down the right side. The Hoops were in superb form and went 3 up after a good passing move finished by a Josu Barcos shot from 20 yards. Just before the break after some scrappy defending Cael Roe popped up again with a tap in from 6 yards out to put trim 4-0 up the break.
The second half began with the Trim side not taking their foot off the gas and went 5-0 up when Justin Barbu went by 4 Johnstown players to finish brilliantly. Trim were cruising and won another penalty again which was dispatched by Gary Fleming to put trim 6-0 up with a lovely finish into the top corner. Trim Celtic: Peter Brennan, Dylan Swan, Mark Dempsey, Adam Dunne, Adam Boyle, Gary Fleming, Tommy Doonan, Justin Barbu, Josu Barcos, Cael Roe, Sean Foley
