Match Report

Celtic slipped to one of their heaviest defeats as a powerful second half display from Kells left the hoops rueing not making the most of their first half superiority. Despite being played in horrendous weather both teams played some lovely football and Celtic were very unlucky to go in behind at the break as a Kells goal in the final minutes of the half left the Trim side trailing. The second half was bizarre as every Kells shot seemed to fly into the top corner and the difference in the scoreline was not reflected on the pitch. Best for Celtic were Daniel Coleman and Eoin Gaffney.
Trim Celtic: Kevin Dalton, Eoin Gaffney, Adam Wilson, Andrew Gibney, Eoghan Lenehan, Oran Kirby, Daniel Coleman, Liam Reilly, James Murray, Evan deCourcey Tobin, Luke Doyle
Subs: Conor McGinley (for Doyle), Cian Russell (for Reilly), Fionn McEvoy (for Lenehan), Kevin McGowan (for McGinley)
