15 Boys Prem vs OMP Utd

Match Report

The outstanding Kris Gorman scored the opener after 10 mins when he rifled the ball into the bottom corner from outside the box. Celtic pressed at every opportunity as Aaron Mc Cormack, Jared Akigbesote and James Molloy were causing huge problems. However, OMP defended well and the score remained 1-0 at half time. Cottrell, Cole and Caulfield were all introduced at half time. And it was Caulfield that wasted no time as he sent a ball though to leave Akigbesote one on one against the keeper. The top scorer calmly finished into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 at the start of the second half.
5 minutes later, this time Caulfield himself when through on goal but was brought down in the box. The ref awarded a penalty and David Boyle converted to make it 3-0. The next 15 minutes saw Celtic make a number of sloppy passes, decision making and some bad finishing and everyone tried to get on the scoresheet. After a couple of positional changes, the team got back into a rhythm with some excellent moves. The match was finally finished off with 3 goals in 4 blistering minutes. Man of the Match Gorman unselfishly picked out O’Hare for the fourth goal. Jared Akigbesote finished off a fine performance with his second when he found the top corner. And James Molloy completed the rout with a trademark left foot finish after some good work from Harry Cottrell.
It would be unfair not to mention the unbelievable one handed save onto the crossbar the OMP keeper made as James Molloy rifled a shot inside the box. A fantastic save and easily the best we’ve seen all season.
