Match Report

On a wet and windy afternoon in Drogheda Trim Celtic's Reserves put in a good performance to come away with a share of the spoils on soft soggy pitch. Celtic conceded early on after sloppy play in midfield but equalised through. Marky Corrigan strike from edge of the box. Unfortunately the Trim side switched off and conceded a second goal courtesy of a massive deflection that looped over keeper Iain Telford .
In the 2nd half Celtic started the brightest a brace from Sean Hyland saw them equalise then take the lead. Both sides hit the post before mounting pressure on the Trim defence led to the concession of a penalty which was converted. Telford made some outstanding saves late on to ensure the sides remained level. Celtic were disappointed not to hold out for the but a point away from home could be valuable come the end of season. Best on the day were Ger Dwane, Sean Hyland and Anthony Craig.
