Match Report

Trim Celtic went into this game needing to lay down their marker for the season and they did so in superb fashion and in doing do made a real statement that they can challenge for the title if they continue to perform like this. The Trim side went 1 up with a well worked team goal finished by Josu Barcos. Celtic didn't have to wait long to double their lead when an inch perfect Sean Foley free kick from edge of the box was superbly flicked home by the in-form Barcos. The Hoops were in control and were piling the pressure on the home side. Midway through the half started Gary Fleming beat 3 Enfield players before striking an unstoppable shot from 30 yards which flew into the top corner. Shortly before the break Justin Barbu latched onto a Sean Foley pass and powered through the defence before rounding the goalkeeper and slotting home to make made it 4-0.
The home side Enfield started the second half resiliently but this was broken when Sean Foley's cross was met by Justin Barbu's who flicked home his second of the game. As the clock ticked down goalkeeper Peter Brennan played a lovely long pass upfield to by Cael Roe who went straight though the defence to finish well into the bottom right corner to make it 6-0. A tremendous team performance where nobody could be singled out.
