Match Report

The 13 Premier side played their second league game versus Johnstown in the MDL. A poor start saw Trim one nil down within the first minute after a defensive mix up led to a well taken goal for the home side. Trim clawed their way back into the game with both sides levelling each other out. Trim dominated the early periods of the second half but a defensive clearance from Trim deflected off a Johnstown player and agonisingly spun into the net. To their credit Celtic rallied again and with 10 minutes remaining they were rewarded with a goal. A mazy run from Shane Bell led to a pass to Charlie Molloy who beautifully floated the ball over the Johnstown goalkeeper from the edge of the box. The Trim boys were on the front foot and pushed hard for an equaliser but unfortunately ran out of time. Trim Celtic had some notable performances from Nico Fragoyiannis, Patrick Barnwell and Max McGowan.
