Match Report

Trim Celtic got off to a great start with Josu Igea Barcos netting in the first 5 minutes, a few moments later Justin Barbu hit in the second. Virginia pulled a goal back before Josu Igea Barcos got in again to put Celtic 3-1 up. With 15 minutes to go before half time Virginia pulled two back which left it 3-3 however Celtic edged in front with a well worked team goal finished by Conor McKeown inside the box to put the Trim side 4-3 up at half time.
In the second half Trim came out a different team and added a fifth when an Adam Boyle screamer from 30 yards hit the top corner. Mark Dempsey rounded off the scoring with another fine long range effort. Despite winning by 3 goals it was not the best Trim performance by a long shot it shows how far this team will go this season by not playing well in the first half an still winning by 3 goals. Best for Trim Celtic were Josu Igea Barcos and Adam Dunne.
