Match Report

A disappointing result against league leaders Kells on an evening when Celtic can count themselves very unlucky not to have collected all 3 points. In an entertaining first half both Keepers proved their worth with Ryan Walsh making 3 great stops to deny Kells and at the other end the Kells keeper doing likewise. Celtic taught they had the lead through Finn Dardis but unfortunately his effort was cleared off the line with the keeper finally beaten. In the second half Celtic really stood up to a very physical Kells team and matched the league leaders all over the pitch. Ben Clarke can count himself very unlucky not to have scored for Celtic as he was a constant threat the entire game. Unfortunately Celtic conceded near the end of the game when a cross into the box glanced of the head of a Kells player with his back to goal and finished in the net. Heartbreak considering some of the excellent football played by the lads.
