Match Report

Trim Celtic Green travelled to a snowy Kingscourt in the Premier League. Underfoot snow and a biting wind made for difficult conditions for both teams. Trim dominated possession for vast periods of the first half and created several scoring opportunities hitting the post twice, once from an Evan Collins long range shot and again from a Shane Bell header after excellent setup play from Tadhg Carty and Noah O'Dea. James Foley came close on several occasions but it finished at the break honours even, 0-0. After four minutes in the second half a Diarmuid Doyle kickout was latched onto by Finn Maher who ran towards the Kingscourt goal, passing sweetly to Shane Bell who drove into the box beating his man and settling up Sam Kennedy who drove the ball home. Trim continued to push and came close to getting a second goal with efforts from Finn Maher, James Foley, Shane Bell and Sam Kennedy. Defensively Trim looked unlikely to concede a goal and overall the whole Trim squad played with great unity and determination. Trim Celtic Green squad: Diarmuid Doyle, Victor Garbu, Nicolas Fragoyiannis, Ronan McGinley, Evan Collins, Noah Lacey O'Dea, James Foley, Tadhg Carty, Shane Bell, Cian Garrehy, Sam Kennedy, Finn Maher, Ben Ryan
