A depleted Trim Celtic's winning streak came to an end with defeat to AUL side Kilbarrack at a wet and windy MDL Grounds. Both sides mulled each other out in the first half with Brian Faulkner's 44th minute chip drifting wide being Celtic's only chance of note.
The pendulum swung in the favour of the AUL side with the 68th minute dismissal of Celtic defender Sean FitzGerald for a professional foul. From the same attack the visitors scored the only goal of the game when a corner wasn't cleared. Iain Telford kept Celtic in the game with a couple of excellent reaction saves but they came no closer to a leveller themselves
