Match Report

Trim Celtic scorers : Paddy Barnwell , Sean O'Shea, O.G.
Trim Celtic Whites made a welcome return to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Parkvilla Blue in Navan on Saturday morning. Celtic dominated from the start with Charlie Molloy and Sam Sweeney both going close before Brian O'Halloran had a well taken volley ruled out for offside. Paddy Barnwell made it 1-0 soon after with a neat finish from a good through ball by Molloy. Barnwell turned creator a few minutes later when his cross was met by Sean O'Shea for the second goal. Celtic kept up the pressure for the rest of the half with Sweeney, O'Shea and Molloy all going close.
Several changes were made at half time with Jack O'Donnell and Dylan Hegney impressing when they came on as Celtic looked to add to the scoreline. The third goal came not long after the restart courtesy of an own goal after great work by O'Donnell.
More changes were made with the full squad getting a run out and with Parkvilla getting one back near the end despite the best efforts of Ryan McLeod in goal. Celtic kept making chances with Hegney, Ryan Murtagh and the superb Dylan Coyle unlucky not to add to the goals. Dennis Darby was excellent at the back alongside Coyle with Mark Winters and Tom Boran solid at full back .
