Match Report

It was a tale of two penalties in Longwood as Trim Celtic's recent good run came to a shuddering halt against a good Enfield side. Both sides did their best on a difficult surface and Trim took the game to Enfield in the first half and their endeavour was rewarded with five minutes to go when James Murray was fouled in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Trim couldn't take advantage as the penalty cane back off the post. This meant the Trim side went in at half time level but with their heads dropped a little.
Matters got worse halfway through the second half when Enfield were awarded a penalty of their own which they duly converted. Ten minutes later Enfield wrapped up the game with a breakaway goal which was added to with a third goal right at the end which flattered the victors. It's back to the MDL next weekend with Bailieboro the visitors as Celtic look to get back to winning ways. Best for Celtic today were Andrew Gibney, Evan DeCourcey Tobin, Daniel Coleman and Eoghan Lenehan.
Trim Celtic: Kevin Dalton, Adam Wilson, Mark Cunningham, Andrew Gibney, Eoghan Lenehan, Andreas Lopez, Daniel Coleman, Liam Reilly, Evan deCourcey Tobin, Luke Doyle, James Murray
Subs: Conor McGinley (for Doyle), Fionn McEvoy (for DeCourcey Tobin), Cian Russell (for Reilly), Eoin Gaffney (for McEvoy), Jack Vaughan (for Lenehan)
