Match Report

Trim Celtic's two 12 Premier teams, the Greens and the Whites, came face to face in the MDL at the weekend. Friendships were put aside for the hour with two even teams giving it their all. The Greens got off to a great start with two early goals from in form striker Shane Bell after set-up play from James Foley and Victor Garbu. The Whites fought back forcing Diarmuid Doyle in the Green goal to make some fine saves and they were rewarded with a goal from the penalty spot converted by Charlie Molloy before half time. The Whites pushed hard for an equaliser and came close with a Dennis Darby effort cleared off the line and a Charlie Molloy strike hitting the post. Dylan Coyle and Gareth Vallely came on to great effect for the Whites but the Greens extended their lead further with well taken breakaway goals goals from James Foley after fine set-up play by Noah Lacey O'Dea and Evan Collins.
