Match Report

Trim Celtic began well and created a few early chances but failed narrowly to score. Lusk got into the game but were kept at bay by a solid Trim defence with Oisin Gallagher and Casper Jagodzinski coping well. Lusk continued to press and had a chance headed off the line by the hard working Nathan McCormack at right full back. Celtic looked dangerous on the break and Dylan Smith made a chance which went narrowly wide and Sam Lynch brought a save from the Lusk keeper. On 28 minutes Lusk scored with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. The second half was as evenly matched as the first with both teams creating chances. Lusk scored a second after 15 minutes . Trim continued to work hard but were unable to bridge the gap. Henry Devine was excellent in goal for Trim. In general the Trim team worked hard and continued to press for a goal until the final whistle. There were many good performances but for sheer workrate and some excellent defending Nathan McCormack was awarded Man of the Match.
