Trim Celtic Green scorers: Tadhg Carty, Shane Bell, Cormac Savage Trim Celtic 12 Green got their season off to a fine start with an away win against Enfield in Baconstown. Playing with the wind Trim got into their stride quickly and after prolonged pressure from Evan Collins, Rocco Martinis and Sam Kennedy, got an opening goal by Shane Bell from an acute angle after 10 minutes. Many scoring opportunities came throughout the half but Enfield defended well and were dangerous on the counter attack. The defence of Nico Fragoyiannis (captain), Victor Garbu, Cian Garrehy coped excellently, with goalkeeper Diarmuid Doyle called upon to make some good saves. Trim started the second half brilliantly with a move involving the lively duo of Finn Maher and Shane Bell leading to a fine finish by Tadhg Carty for a 2-0 lead after 5 minutes. Enfield continued to battle and pulled a goal back after some confusion in the Trim defence. Undeterred Noah Lacey O'Dea and Ronan McGinley continued to battle leading to a third goal from a breakaway move by Bell and Carty with Cormac Savage applying an excellent finish after 15 minutes. Trim continued for the remainder of the match to press forward with telling contributions from Ben Ryan and Padraig Mallon finishing off a fine squad performance.
