The Club Ladies this season are sponsored by Karen Ball a member of the Ladies Sub-Committee who also fulfills the role of team Assistant Manager & this evening at Tully Park she formally handed over a new set of playing gear to the Club.

The Club Ladies shared the spoils this evening at Tully Park in a tough encounter with Dublin side O’Devaney Utd to remain unbeaten in Division 3 North of the Dublin Women’s Soccer League.

After a poor start they settled well & finished the first half very strongly despte going a goal down after 35 minutes when keeper Susan Clancy was beaten to a through ball.

After a break of three weeks due to postponements, the Club Ladies are back in action this coming Wednesday at Tully Park when they take on visitors O’Devaney Utd. in Division 3 North of the Dublin Women’s Soccer League.

Why not come out to see them as they bid to maintain their unbeaten run to the start of the season? Kick off is scheduled for 7.15pm.

The Club’s annual Presentation Function for the Seniors & Ladies was held last Friday night in the Castle Arch Hotel & the highlight of the evening was the announcement that David Conway had been selected to receive the Brody Cup for Senior Player of the Year thus becoming the sixth player to have his name engraved on the cup twice. ‘David enjoyed another outstanding season with the Club & fully deserved the award’ according to his manager Damien Dempsey. The composition of the Ladies Sub-Committee elected recently for the 2008/9 season is as follows:

This may be the off season for most of the Club’s teams but for the Ladies the new 2008 summer season has just started & how well they have done so far as they sit atop Division 3 North of the Dublin Womens’ Soccer League with a haul of nine points from their first three games.

Tonight at Tully Park they swept aside visitors Dundalk (B) thanks to a six goal first half salvo & although they failed to find the net after the break Manager Karen Halpenny was nevertheless very pleased with the performance all round from start to finish. The Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held next Wednesday 11th June in the Castle Arch Hotel at 8pm. All Senior members of the Club please attend.

The Annual Meeting of the Sevens Football Section of the Club will take place next Saturday night 14th June in the Judge & Jury at 7.30pm.

The Annual Meeting of the Schoolboys Section of the Club will be held on Monday 16th June in the Trim castle Hotel at 8pm.

The Annual Meeting of the Senior Football Section of the Club will take place on 17th June in the Castle Arch Hotel at 8pm.

The Annual Meeting of the Ladies Section of the Club will not now take place on 18th June because the team has a  game fixed fior that night. Alternative details to be announced ASAP.

This year’s end of season Senior & Ladies Presentation Function will take place in the Castle Arch Hotel on Friday 20th June starting at 9pm.

The night will include presentations to the Brody Cup to the Senior, Team Player of the Year. The Reserve Team Player of the Year will receive the Barry Cup. The Clubman of the Year will receive the Clancy Cup. The first presentation of the Bradley Cup for Ladies Team Player of the Year will also take place.

The 2008 Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held in the Castle Arch Hotel on Wednesday 11th June starting at 8pm. This year’s meeting is liklely to be the most important for many years & every Senior member is encouraged to come along to take part.
