Over one hundred and twenty children in the Sevens section of the club assembled in Tully Park on 29th August for a a fun filled day of soccer. There was also great support from their parents and other family members to make it a very enjoyable day.

Special thanks to Mark and Linda Leavy who supported the club in providing refreshments for the participants. The club house was looking very well after the facelift that it received with the co-operation of all sections of the club.

The managers of the Sevens and the ladies team again went head to head in a very entertaining challange match.

Many thanks to the organisers of the Blitz, and particularly to the children who provided a great day of entertainment.

The Diamonds were under pressure from the kick off, as Albion took control of the game. They went one goal up after 10 minutes. Despite sustained pressure Trim managed to keep it 1 – O at half time, thanks to some terrific saves from Ciara Hanson.
In the second half Trim really turned the game around with the Troy sisters on target. Amy scored after four minutes, followed by a well taken goal from Rachel. Albion’s fate was sealed with a terrific strike by Amy into the top right hand corner of the net. Final score Trim 3 Albion Rovers 1. The Seven’s annual Presentation Day will take place next Sunday 19th April at 2PM in Trim Castle Hotel. This includes players from the Under 8, Under 9, Under 10 teams and also girls playing in the Under 9, Under 11 and Under 13 teams. Please wear club tracksuits if possible and arrive early to be seated for a prompt start. Refreshments will be available but the event has been designated alcohol free.

The Diamonds were away to Walshestown in the second leg of the DCSL cup last Sunday. Trim had a 8-0 advantage going into the game. It proved to be a tight game as both teams traded goals up until the last five minutes of the game. Ciara Hanson clinched the game with a last minute goal. Final score was Trim 3 Walshestown 2. Team line up was Amy Troy (1) (Captain), Karley Leavy, Kate Dunne, Caoimhe Shelly, Rhiannon Hoey, Dervla Fahey, Ciara Hanson (2), Patrese Fox.

The Diamonds U11 girls had a battle on their hands as they played St Ultans in Kells last Sunday. Pitch conditions were very soft and the Kells girls opened their account early in the first half. Trim responded quickly afterwards with a goal from Patrese Fox. Once again Kells applied pressure and got an early goal in the second half. Trim fough hard and were rewarded with a well taken goal from Roisin Milner. The girls were unlucky not to win the game as there were good goal scoring opportunities in the last five minutes. The Diamonds are placed third in the league with a game in hand. The boys and girls of the Sevens with parents and friends braved the elements last Sunday to complete the 2nd annual sponsored 5K walk. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success including the local Garda and the Civil Defense.
