As a result of the very heavy rainfall recently & the prospect of more to follow according to the weather forecast, a decision has been taken to postpone the Real Soccer Summer Camp scheduled to start tomorrow morning, to the week commencing Monday 28th July. We very much regret the inconvenience & disappointment caused to all concerned.

The Committee of the Club is delighted to announced the appointment of Chris O’Connor as its new Reserve Team Manager for the coming season.

Chris is a native of Dublin & he brings with him considerable football experience as he steps into the shoes of the departed Luke Dempsey who  last season guided the Reserves to the Premier Reserve Division title in the Meath & District League.

The Club Ladies this season are sponsored by Karen Ball a member of the Ladies Sub-Committee who also fulfills the role of team Assistant Manager & this evening at Tully Park she formally handed over a new set of playing gear to the Club.

Senior training for the 2008/9 MDL season starts next Tuesday evening & all Club players are asked to report back at 8pm. The venue is the MDL grounds on the Trim Road, Navan.

The Committee of the Club is delighted to announce that Tony O’Sullivan has been appointed to manage the Club’s Senior Team for the 2008/9 season.

‘Tony is a hugely experienced football man who has very considerable knowledge of the game & we are absolutely delighted that he has come on board to take charge of the Senior Team’ said Club Chairman Robert Bradley this evening. ‘He takes charge of a very talented squad of players who are capable of bringing more silverware to the Club following their success in recent years’.

The Club’s annual Presentation Function for the Seniors & Ladies was held last Friday night in the Castle Arch Hotel & the highlight of the evening was the announcement that David Conway had been selected to receive the Brody Cup for Senior Player of the Year thus becoming the sixth player to have his name engraved on the cup twice. ‘David enjoyed another outstanding season with the Club & fully deserved the award’ according to his manager Damien Dempsey.
