Message of thanks from David Tully Chairman Trim Celtic

On behalf of the committee I want to thank everyone who joined us at our 50th celebration last Sunday and to those who couldn’t attend and sent us good wishes thank you also. I’m sure you will agree that it was a great party.
I would like to place on record my thanks to a number of other people. Firstly to those current and former committee members (you know who you are) who worked so hard for many months to organise last Sunday’s festivities, thank you for making this brilliant event happen.
You have 50 years from now to get ready for the next one!!!
The gathering of trophies the printing of photos and preparing them all for display was a difficult challenge which was brilliantly met.
Thanks also to Conal Collier of the Meath Chronicle for the excellent Facebook coverage which really added to the sense of occasion. Special mention must also go to Jack Kennedy of Impact Signs & Display Systems for the outstanding efforts to turn around a large volume of work so quickly.
My thanks also to the management of Trim Castle Hotel and their excellent staff for the hospitality, professionalism and patience they displayed to us before, during and after the event.
The inspiring story of the formation and development of our Club was brilliantly told on the night and this was made all the more special by the presence of so many family representatives of the people who made us what we are over the years and sadly are no longer with us. Thanks for being there.
As a Trim Celtic member I have had many proud moments both on and off the pitch but last Sunday was amongst the best. It will live long in the memory but the acknowledgement of our 50 years doesn’t stop now. We have a few more ideas and will update you soon….
