Weekend Preview
The action kicks off under lights tonight as the First Team travel to the MDL Astro to take on Navan Cosmos in the Kilmessan Shield Semi-Final. Kick off is at 8pm.
It’s a cup weekend in the NECSL with all teams except the 16 Boys and Girls in Cup action.
There are three home matches at the MDL at 10:00am on Saturday. The 14 Premier Boys face Division 1 opposition in Johnstown, the 13 Division 1 Boys play their league leaders Navan Town while the 11 Red Boys in Colm Cooper Cup action.
At 11:35 the 14 Division 1 Boys welcome Torro Utd to the MDL, with our boys winning well the last time the sides met a few weeks ago. Also at 11:35 the 13 Premier Boys travel to play Kells Blackwater, our boys are in good form after a superb performance against league leaders Parkvilla last weekend. In the third 11:35 kick off the 12 Premier White Boys who are on a three game winning streak will play Division 1 side Kentstown Rovers.
At 12:35pm the 12 Premier Green Boys will also face Division 1 opposition when they travel to play Skryne Tara.
At 1pm the 16 Boys will play Parkvilla in the league at the MDL.
On Saturday evening at 5:30pm the Reserve team are away to Parkvilla, with the recent withdrawal of league leaders Dromin Utd giving John Kelly’s men a great chance of title challenge.
On Sunday at 12:35pm at the MDL the 16 girls will play league leaders Kentstown Rovers.
At 1:30pm the 18 girls travel to take on Cherry Orchard. The Celtic girls are unbeaten in the league since the opening day.
