002At this time of year it is appropriate that we remember the work carried out by The Terry Scanlon Committee. There has been enough published around the day of the Terry Scanlon Memorial Cup and the enjoyment that all involved had.

After all the hard work that the committee and especially Jimmy Hyland, Paddy Dempsey and Peter Campbell who tirelessly put in countless hours in the run in and on the day of the Terry Scanlon Memorial Cup it is important to remember that one of the important features of the tournament is fundraising for local charities.

This year the committee raised a massive €1000 which was equally divided between Pieta House and Meals on Wheels. Both these organisations do unheralded work throughout the year and all at Trim Celtic AFC are delighted to have been able to contribute to their worthy causes.
