Trim Celtic remain 3 points off the top with a fine away performance against Drogheda side Newfoundwell. The Trim side meant business from the off and started and finished with an exceptional work rate to the man. Darragh Scannell opened the scoring before captain Derek Donohoe added a second and Anthony Craig a third before halftime. In the second half Craig and Scannell added another goal each with a Paul Munnelly strike in the middle.

Trim Celtic 6-1 Black Bull
Trim Celtic scorers: Dimmy Higgins 2, Damien McGee 2, Conor Daly, James Hyland
A superb first half performance from Trim Celtic saw them advance to the next round of the Reserve Cup. Damien McGee curled home the first goal within ten minutes with Dimmy Higgins slotting home the second shortly after. Higgins then turned provider for James Hyland to score from close range before Black Bull pulled one back with a volley from the edge of the box. Conor Daly snuck in at the back post before Dimmy Higgins added his second with a fine solo run and finish.
In the second half the visitors were more organised and Celtic struggled to break them down , substitute Jack Kelly coming closest before Damien McGee superbly headed home from a corner to wrap up the scoring.
