On 22nd November 1993 the Club enjoyed the privilege of staging a friendly schoolboy International match between the Republic of Ireland and Austria at Tully Park. This game marked the International debut for the Republic of one of the best wing players in world football today –possibly the very best. Who? Look carefully in the front row and second from left you may recognise a very youthful Damien Duff!
The game was also significant in that it featured Jonathon Clarke from Navan also making his debut. He is pictured beside Damien Duff on the extreme left.
