Trim Celtic 18’s added the Shield to complete the Treble with a hard fought victory over Johnstown in the Mdl

Johnstown took the lead in the first half and looked the better side for the rest of it. In the second half Celtic never lost heart and where rewarded with an equalizer from Aaron Winter’s. Despite Trim having most of the ball, Johnstown certainly didn’t allow many chances on their goal. The game headed into extra time and this is where Celtic started to play the football that has been their trademark all season. The winning goal came in the first period of extra time and involved seven Celtic players in the build up allowing Ciarian O Rourke to score what would be the winning goal. This final showed all the attributes that this team have, when they went behind their heads didn’t drop and they kept believing in their abilities. On a personal level it has been a pleasure to have been involved with this team and to see them develop into the players and individuals that they are now.
